Loud sonic boom rocks the skies over The Midlands

A loud bang heard across The Midlands was caused by two Typhoon aircraft responding to an emergency.

The Ministry of Defence has told ITV News that the aircraft were on their way to a small civilian helicopter that was emitting an emergency signal.
