The family of Bridgnorth murder victim Richard Sherratt paid tribute him.
Mr Sherratt's three adult children - Tom, Joseph and Jennie Sherratt - also thanked people for all the support and kind messages they had received since their father's death.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our father. He was a loving son, brother and father."He will always be remembered for his jovial spirit, strong character and generous nature."
Mr Sherratt, 57, who had recently moved to Bridgnorth from the Stourbridge area, was found dead at his home in Old School Mews, Bridgnorth on Thursday 14 June 2012.
Three people - a woman and two men - were arrested two days later and have appeared in court charged with his murder.
All three have been remanded in custody and will appear before Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday 25 June 2012.
