A free concert was held to celebrate the life of Andy Hamilton at Symphony Hall. The jazz musician moved to Birmingham in 1949 from Jamaica and was a regular performer at the venue.
The event was compered by Dr Carl Chinn and featured tributes from a number of Birmingham's most notable figures.
