Three hundred soldiers from the 2nd Battalion the Mercian Regiment will parade through Nottingham, Derby and Worcester. To mark their return from their latest tour in Afghanistan.

Father who lost his son shows support for troops

Nearly 800 soldiers have marched through Worcester in the latest homecoming parade here in the Midlands.

Service men and women from the Queen's Royal Hussars, the Grenadier Guards and the 2nd Battallion the Mercian Regiment have been taking part.

Thousands of people turned out to show their support including Gary Hemming who's son Luke lost his legs in Afghanistan.
