A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a collision with a car in Norton in Worcestershire.

It happened at 7.35pm on Wednesday evening (June 27) on Evesham Road.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found a rider lying about 20 feet away from the motorbike and car. The car had damage to nearside and the windscreen had been smashed.

“The rider had a head injury and was not fully conscious. He also had leg injuries.

“He was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board before being airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

“There were a 16 year old woman and a 17 year old man in the car. Neither were hurt but they were shaken by what had happened.”
