The body of a Midlands soldier who died in Afghanistan last weekend will return to the UK today.
Warrant Officer Leonard Thomas, who served with The Royal Corps of Signals, is due to be repatriated to RAF Brize Norton this afternoon, along with two colleagues who died alongside him.
The MoD confirmed that the three men were killed on Sunday when a man dressed in an Afghan police uniform opened fire at them.
