Amateur boxer to forget Olympics blow

Amateur star Kal Yafai is ready to put his Olympic disappointment behind him and begin a "new chapter" in his career as he makes his professional debut in Sheffield today.

The Birmingham bantamweight is ready to close the door on hit amateur career by switching to the paid ranks on the undercard of Kell Brook's fight with American Carson Jones this weekend.

It is also a chance for Yafai to move on from his disappointment at missing out on a place at this summer's London Olympics to Welshman Andrew Selby.

"I'm looking forward to getting those 8oz gloves on. I want to just get in there to show people how good I can be and that I'm a future star."
