Lord Sebastian Coe has been appointed Pro Chancellor of Loughborough University.
The former athlete and Chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, will now be a member of the University's council.
“Lord Coe is among the University’s greatest advocates and is also one of the leading ambassadors for sport in the UK.
“We are delighted that he has agreed to become Pro Chancellor of Loughborough and will be able to help us lead the University forward through its next phase of development.”
“I have always had very strong links with Loughborough, and I am looking forward to being able to contribute to the future of the University which provided me with such support, as both a student and graduate and also in my athletics career.”
