Unemployment rises by 1.6% in the East Midlands
In the three months to May there were 3,000 more people out of work in the East Midlands, a rise of 1.3%.
Latest figures from the Office for National Statistics showed a total of 193,000 people out of work in the region between May and May.
The rate of unemployment is now 8.3%.
