Strikes Over Factories Sell Off

Union members at Remploy begin strike action today after the Government announced plans to close or sell 54 factories in the UK, including those in Leicester and Stoke. Further strike action is planned next week.

Remploy worker says he is worried

Disabled workers at Remploy factories across the country are to stage a 24-hour strike in response to last week's Government announcement that 54 UK factories are to close or be sold-off.

Gerald Froggett who works at the Derby plant which could be but to be sold off to a third party if one can be found, has been with the company for 25 years.

He is worried how it will affect him.
