A once divided community in Winson Green, this morning seemed united in demanding answers over the conduct of West Midlands police.
Eight men were yesterday cleared of murdering Haroon Jahan, Shazad Ali and Abdul Musavir, who died in last summer's riots in Birmingham.
But it came to light that in the later stages of the trial at Birmingham Crown Court, the judge decided that a senior police officer had lied under oath.
It led to an emergency community meeting being called last night, a spokesperson said the people of Birmingham need to move on from this tragedy.
West Midlands Police say the senior officer involved has not been suspended, an investigation by the police watchdog, the IPCC is now being carried out.
