Former Loughborough athlete Paula Radcliffe has had her Olympic plans shattered, as the marathon runner is forced to pull out of the Games due to injury.
The 38 year old world-record holder has been nursing an injured foot, which has not healed in time for the Games.
"Radcliffe has been suffering with a foot problem and after a fitness test on Sunday it was concluded that she would not be able to race competitively to the best of her abilities."
