The husband of a cancer patient from Newark says if it wasn't for the dog he bought for his wife as a Christmas surprise, she may never have got her cancer checked out. Brian Rawlinson encouraged Sharon to visit her GP when Cavalier King Charles spaniel Penny repeatedly sniffed her breast.
