Two dentists who defrauded the NHS out of more than £46,000 while working from a practice in Hinckley in Leicestershire have been spared prison sentences today.
45 year old Dr Werner Muller and 64-year-old Dr John Atkinson were given 12 month suspended sentences and 300 hours if community service.
Both are likely to be struck off by the general dental council.
They were found guilty of a double charging fraud by billing the NHS for private work they did at the Clarendon Road Dental practice in Hinckley.
