Police are continuing an investigation into an explosion at a flat in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, which has killed a man.
At around 10pm last night, Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service were called to a flat on Queen Street, Long Eaton, after a reported explosion.
Crews from Long Eaton and Ilkeston attended the scene. But tragically a 57 year old man has been confirmed as a fatality as a result of the incident.
A joint investigation with Derbyshire Constabulary is currently on-going.
Information will be released in due course.
