Police have evacuated a number of homes in Telford after the discovery of suspected explosives at a property.
The discovery was made this morning while police carried out a search warrant at the property in Leonards Close, Donnington.
A number of firearms were also found at the property.
Explosives exerts are currently at the scene and around 100 homes are being evacuated as a precaution.
A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently being questioned by detectives.
Detective Chief Inspector Jason Wells from Telford CID said:
"We apologise to local people for any disruption this may cause them, but you will understand that we need to ensure the public's safety while we continue to deal with this incident.
"At this time, officers are continuing to work at the scene alongside explosives experts to establish what, if any, explosives are present and to ensure that the area is made safe."
