Police had evacuated around 100 properties in Leonards Close earlier this morning after the discovery of suspected explosive materials during a routine search at a property.
Detective Chief Inspector Jason Wells from Telford CID said:
"I'd like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding while we have dealt with this incident and can reassure them that, after thorough checks by experts, we are happy that the area is completely safe and there is no risk to the public."
A man remains in custody at Malinsgate Police Station and is being questioned by detectives in relation to this incident.
