A minute's silence has been held on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea in memory of Dylan Cecil from Northamptonshire who was washed out to sea a week ago.

The four year-old died after falling into the water from the town's slipway.

This morning his mother Rachel McCollum and Darren Cecil joined crowds for a minute's silent reflection in his memory.

The event took place as part of the town's rescue services day. It will be followed tonight by a memorial service at a nearby church.

Dylan's favourite Bruno Mars tune The Lazy Song will be played, together with the hymns 'I The Lord Of The Sea 'And 'Sky and Father I Place Into Your Hands'.
