Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is hoping to bring in two new strikers before the transfer window shuts tomorrow.
Following a number of signings already this summer, the most recent being left-back Joe Bennett from Middlesbrough, Lambert is reportedly looking to supplement Darren Bent and the currently-injured Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Villa could hear today whether their efforts to land Belgium international Christian Benteke have been successful. The club increased their bid to around £5.5 million after their initial offer was rejected.
Lambert's believed to be keen on Chesterfield's 21-year-old striker Jordan Bowery and is reportedly interested in Charlton midfielder Dale Stephens.
