Royal Mail has announced it has produced a stamp honouring Nottingham's Richard Whitehead's gold medal triumph in today's (1 September) 200m T42 final.

It is the first time a host country has issued a set of stamps to celebrate Paralympic gold medallists.

Royal Mail will also paint one of its red post boxes gold in Richard's home town.
