Police are appealing for help from the public after the body of a man was found on the A444 near Nuneaton this morning (2 September).
Officers were called to the northbound carriageway by a passing motorist at 06.35.
Warwickshire Police say they are treating the death as unexplained but believe the man had been struck by a vehicle.
The identity of the man has been confirmed and family are currently being informed.The A444 remains closed in both directions from the junction with the M6 to Griff Roundabout and motorists are advised to make alternative travel arrangements.
It is unknown when the road will reopen.
