One man has died and three other people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a tree near Ironbridge in the early hours of this morning (2 September).
It happened on Ironbridge Road in Jackfield. The driver of the vehicle died at the scene.
“Sadly, it quickly became apparent to crews that nothing could be done to save the driver of the vehicle and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A male passenger in the vehicle, believed to be in his twenties, was treated at the scene for serious head and pelvic injuries. He was anesthetised by a medical team doctor and conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
“The hospital was alerted to the serious condition of the patient.

“A further male received a serious arm injury and was also taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for assessment and treatment.
“Ambulance crews also conveyed a female in her twenties to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with a serious arm injury.”
