6 fire appliances are still working to extinguish a blaze at a woodyard in Derby. Specialist equipment is also on scene.

The call was originally received at 10.30pm on Saturday evening.

A large plume of smoke is being blown, by the wind, into Nottinghamshire and it's expected to linger for several days.

The smoke fumes aren't thought to be dangerous.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue have warned people to be aware of the smoke.

A fire which has been burning for 60 days is finally out. It hasn't polluted the Erewash Canal and so fish are now allowed back into that stretch of water.
