HS2 consultation process branded a shambles

Campaigners against the multi-billion pound HS2 rail project have called the consultation process a "shambles". It's after hundreds of responses to the consultation were omitted from the original analysis.

The government says those responses wouldn't have changed the outcome. Campaigners say HS2 won't provide the economic benefits promised, and it will destroy picturesque landscapes.
