Birmingham Royal Ballet will make history tomorrow by featuring the country's first ever mixed race leads in Swan Lake. Celine Gittens will take to the stage at Birmingham Hippodrome with her partner Tyrone Singleton.
The dance company says traditionally ballet has been viewed as a white middle class art form but they are hoping the performance will show that ballet is for everyone, regardless of race or background.
