A dentist is facing jail today after being found guilty of the biggest ever fraud in the history of the health service.
According to a victim impact statement heard in court, the NHS say the cost of the fraud was equivalent to 73 nurses and 221 hip replacements.
The Defence counsel said of dentist Joyce Trail:
"It is a fact that as a result of this conviction, she has lost everything. She will come out of prison to no house, no career...As far as her career is concerned, she will undoubtedly be prevented from practicing again as a dentist".
