Paul Lambert seeks £2m compensation
Villa boss Paul Lambert has decided to take Norwich to an industrial tribunal.
Lambert wants £2 million in compensation, claiming that he was unfairly dismissed and that the club breached his contract by refusing to give him permission to speak to Aston Villa.
Norwich chairman Alan Bowkett made the revelation at a fan's forum last night.
It was also revealed that the Canaries are no closer to securing their own compensation from Aston Villa over Lambert's departure.
"The manner of Paul Lambert's departure was no surprise because he has walked out on every club he has ever managed. You can't complain because you know what you are getting, but I felt he could have left in a more dignified manner."
– ALAN BOWKETT, NORWICH CITY CHAIRMAN
Norwich City play away at Aston Villa on October 27th.
