– Kristian Thomas, Olympic bronze medallistGrowing up, I was lucky that I had great facilities and training available to me on my doorstep, but that isn’t the same for everyone. Opportunity is everything, so the new centre for training young people here in the West Midlands will help those people with potential achieve their goals. I basically spent 18 years in training for London 2012 – so I’m testament that it’s all about working hard and putting in the effort, but if you do, it will pay off in the end.
