– Jeanne Gibson, Lincolnshire County Council's Principal Highways Officer
I would like to urge all motorists to drive with exceptional care on this road. The school crossing patrol is there to help keep the children safe on their way to and from school.
We are carrying out some further road safety measures including refreshing the lines on the road, possible repositioning of the flashing lights on the approach to the junction, and using more distinctive yellow backing boards for the signs, so they stand out more clearly to motorists.
A school crossing in Lincolnshire has been branded the most dangerous in the county after lollipop man David Ellis has been hit by passing vehicles three times in the last five months.
