Lucky escape for family in serious car crash on M6

Three people have escaped from a serious crash on the M6 with minor injuries.

The family's car ended upside down in the southbound carriage of the M6 in Birmingham yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

Two ambulances, a paramedic area support officer and a doctor attended the scene on the motorway, near to junction 4, just after 4pm.

"When crews arrived they found a car, on its roof, in the middle lane of the carriageway. The family were assessed by crews but miraculously had escaped serious injury."
