Derbyshire residents invited to help Police with speeding motorists
Derbyshire Police are inviting residents who are concerned about speeding traffic to come out on patrol with the police and check the speed of passing vehicles.
The initiative involves volunteers and local officers patrolling together and using speed radar guns to check the speeds of passing vehicles.
Leanne Bradbury, PCSO, Brimington Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "We have set up Community Speed Watch in response to community concerns about road safety and speeding and we would like to hear from anyone who would be willing to giving up a couple of hours of their time.
