The search for a schoolboy from Lincolnshire who went missing during a storm in the south of France has been scaled back. 12-year-old Pierre Barnes vanished on Saturday after going for a bike ride on an island near Toulon.
French authorities have insisted inquiries will continue despite the scale back of the search.
Pierre's father Stephen Barnes, 57, said he believes his son is no longer alive.
"In truth, we are just hoping to find a body now.
"As soon as they do, they will alert us, but there is nothing else that, as a family, we can do now."
