Passengers hit by delays and cancellations on London Midland services are to get a £7 million package of benefits. Up to 70 trains a day were having to be cancelled across the West Midlands because of a sudden shortage of drivers.

London Midland train chaos could end in legal action

Hundreds of cancellations and delays on London Midland trains could result in action from the Department of Transport.

The company has been forced to cancel hundreds of services due to crew shortages. Commons Leader Andrew Lansley warned the firm to improve "in short order" or face the threat of sanctions.
