Gold postboxes here to stay
The Royal Mail say post-boxes painted gold to celebrate local Olympic and Paralympic champions won't be repainted red.
Three boxes in the East Midlands were painted over the summer to mark the achievements of Ollie Hynd, Richard Whitehead and Sophie Wells. Each box will have a plaque attached to it, naming the successful athlete and their discipline.
