Malala "comfortable"

Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl being treated in Birmingham after being shot in the head by the Taliban, has spent a comfortable weekend at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Malala has now been treated at the hospital by a specialist team for three weeks.

More than 6,500 messages of support have been posted on the hospital trust's website.

First public speech for Malala

A 15 year-old girl shot in the head for promoting girls' education in Pakistan will give her first public speech on her birthday. Malala Yousafzai underwent life saving surgery in Birmingham and will speak on Malala day on 12 July.
