A 45-year-old man has been charged with the murder of six children who died as a result of a house fire in Derby in May.
Paul Mosley is due to appear at Derby Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Tuesday, November 6) charged with the murder of Duwayne Philpott, (aged 13), Jade Philpott (10), John Philpott (9), Jack Philpott (7), Jessie Philpott (6) and Jayden Philpott (5).
The children died as a result of a fire at a house on Victory Road in Allenton.
The second person arrested today, a 49-year-old man, has been released without charge.
The children's parents, Mick and Mairead Philpott, have also been charged with their murders.
Assistant Chief Constable Steve Cotterill said:
"Three people have now been charged with the murder of these children....Our investigation will continue in an effort to gain justice for the children.”
