Former Leicester County Council leader quits Tories
The former leader of Leicestershire County Council has resigned from the Conservative Group.
David Parsons was due to attend a group meeting today discussing a report investigating whether he had broken rules over European travel expenses. He stepped down as authority leader earlier this year.
