Jaguar Land Rover begins its move into China
Jaguar Land Rover is today celebrating its move into the largest populated country in the world, as development work begins at its first car production plant in China.
The development, which is being constructed in Changshu – near Shanghai, had its foundation stone laid today.
The company is starting a joint deal with Chery Automobile to begin manufacturing Jaguar and Land Rover models in the country.
Jaguar Land Rover has its headquarters in Whitley, Coventry. The company also has manufacturing and assembly plants in Solihull, Gaydon and Castle Bromwich.
