Detectives have been given more time to question a man in relation to a murder which happened in Bilborough over the weekend.
The 32-year-old, who has been arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.
The victim, who has not yet been formally identified, was found collapsed in Fairnley Road, just after 5pm on Saturday.
He was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, where he later died.
A post-mortem examination revealed the man died from a gunshot wound.
