Birmingham City Council is to get a government fund of more than £29m for its weekly bin collection service.
Cllr James McKay, Cabinet Member for a Green, Safe and Smart city, said: “Birmingham put forward an ambitious set of proposals that will preserve weekly waste collections, make our streets cleaner and help increase recycling rates. Now the Government has rallied behind our plans."
