Gang who tortured and murdered woman have conviction appeals rejected

A gang of four who were jailed for torturing and killing a woman with learning disabilities have had their appeals to overturn their convictions rejected.

Gemma Hayter, was beaten and choked, her body stripped and dumped in Rugby in August 2010.

Two men and one woman were given life sentences for the murder while another man and a woman received 13-year terms for manslaughter.

Four of the five who challenged their convictions had them rejected in the court of appeal.
