Julian Mynott died trying to save his children
Coroner Sean McGovern said in a narrative verdict that Julian Mynott and his son Freddie died in a terrible accident on Saturday 12th May 2012.
Mr Mynott and his 3 children had gone out on a short trip in their boat on the river Avon in Barford.
The boat went over the lower weir and got caught in the undercurrent.
He also said that Mr Mynott could have saved himself but he chose not to and died in an attempt to save his children.
Local residents managed to save the 2 older children Archie and Florence.
