East Midlands Trains fares increase by 4% from 2013

Rail fares on East Midlands Trains will increase by an average of 4% from the 2nd January 2013.

A single journey will rise by an average of 52p.

Railway funding can only come from the taxpayer or from the passenger. The government's policy remains that a bigger share must come from people who use the train.
