Teenager stabbed after argument

A 14-year-old boy has been stabbed in Erdington after an argument between a group of people police say.

The teenager was stabbed in the stomach around 4.00pm yesterday on Wood End Lane, he was then taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable and expected to make a full recovery.

No arrests have been made and police are appealing for witnesses.

Inspector Michaela Kerr, from the major investigation team in Birmingham, said:

“This is an unusual incident which happened at a very busy time in a very busy place and we are keen to speak to anybody who may have seen what happened before and after the stabbing took place.
