Full steam ahead for Leicester's railway museum

The city of Leicester have received more than a train set this Christmas as plans for a railway museum were launched today.

City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, joined Bill Ford, Managing Director of the Great Central Railway, at Leicester North train station to climb aboard the Santa Special steam locomotive.

Plans for a railway museum in Leicester are now underway and will open to the public in 2017.
