Malala's dad is named special adviser to UN full report

The father of Malala Yousafzai, the 15 year old girl shot by the Taliban for campaigning for girls to have the right to go to school, has been named a UN special adviser on global education by former prime minister Gordon Brown.

The main part of Ziauddin Yousafzai's role will be to help to get every child to school by the end of 2015.

Malala reunited with friend

Malala Yousufzai, the 15-year-old girl shot in the head by the Taliban in Pakistan, has been reunited with her lifelong friend who was injured in the same attack.
