Hereford has been ranked the second worst town for drink driving offences in the UK, according to MoneySupermarket.
For every 1000th car insurance quotation processed by MoneySupermarket, the rate of drink driving offences in Hereford is 7.3 - just 0.9 off the highest ranked town, Harrogate.
Of the 3.4 million recorded offences on drivers' insurance quotations, 147,000 (4.3%) were for drink or drug-related convictions.
The legal limit of alcohol in the body is:
- 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath
- 80 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood
- 107 milligrams per 100 millitres of urine
