A primary school in Bilston will be shut until the New Year after vandals caused around £30,000 worth of damage.
Intruders broke into Loxdale Primary School at around 1:00am on Monday. They tore off lead from the roof and ripped out internal pipework, which flooded parts of the school.
Due to the extent on the damage, repair work won't be finished until the New Year meaning the school won't re-open until the start of the spring term.
We'll be working hard over the next few weeks to get the repairs carried out as soon as possible and we're hopeful that they will be completed in time for pupils to return to the school on Monday January 7, 2013.
