A gang who stripped the lead from church roofs across the East Midlands, has been jailed for a total of almost 21 years. The six men from Lithuania stole around 70 tonnes of lead, causing hundred of thousands of pounds of damage.
The judge at Lincoln Crown Court told them they "desecrated the heritage of this country". Phil Brewster reports.
