Six men found guilty of stealing 70 tonnes of lead from churches across the East Midlands are due to be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court later today.
The men stripped as much as fifty thousand pounds worth of lead from church roofs during night-time raids. They then sold it on at metal recycling yards.
They targeted churches across Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
